Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor and activist. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and started her career shortly after immigrating from Israel to the United States as a child actor. She came to prominence for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since 2020. She was also a frequent series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Also, she was regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were just two years old, emigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. She dropped out of school following her sophomore year. She earned a GED and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. Vayntrub was a student of improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
